As my brother was giving me a lift home, I noticed he was only driving with one foot. I pointed this out to him. Then I remembered his car was automatic. He said he only uses one leg while he stretches the other one.
The last time I drove a car when I was learning to drive it was a manual car. Then you have to fiddle with changing the gears. With automatic there's none of that struggling, the car does it automatically for you.
It got me thinking about mentality. There seems to be two types of mindsets: the automatic and the manual.
One with a manual mindset likes to do things on his own. He is a great thinker and wonders about how things should pan out.
One with an automatic mindset lets things happen. He doesn't think about ideas, he simply receives ideas. He doesn't wonder about the how of things, he simply knows.
Is it possible for the manual mindset to be automatic? Yes, by simply letting the automatic mentality take over.
OK, drive on.
