On the bus I heard this man speaking on his mobile phone. He mentioned that he was "trying to manifest" whatever it was.
When ideas and feelings are experienced in form they are made manifest. The easiest way to block a manifestation is to try to make it happen. You have to let it happen of its own accord.
Last week I read in the Metro newspaper about a woman who had broken the Karaoke world record by singing non-stop for almost 60 hours. She was doing it for her husband who has cancer. I figured instead of carrying the paper with me, I would look up the full details on the website and post it on my blog and in a forum. The story wasn't on the website. I Googled it and nothing came up. I tried other search engines and still nothing. I thought to myself that sooner or later it will show up. Yesterday, as I was opening my Yahoo mail I noticed the story on Yahoo. This is one demonstration of letting things happen effortlessly. See S.Korean woman sings 60 hours for love and hope.
I used to wear prescription glasses. Opticians believed one eye was long-sighted while the other was short-sighted. About five years ago I stopped wearing glasses because I believe vision is spiritual not physical. As I use the computer a lot it was quite a challenge to let go of the idea that sitting in front of the screen for hours at a time is bad for one's eyesight. While my eyes didn't get worse or improve, I noticed I had a new way of seeing. I realised that I had been trying to see instead of letting seeing happen.
What do I mean by letting seeing happen?
All that we see are light in manifestation. What I used to do was try to capture the light instead of letting the light flow towards me. I have noticed that when I'm watching television, for instance, I can see perfectly when I let the pictures come to me. The moment I forget and try to see, my eyes get blurred.
Life is meant to be effortless. Let life happen; let love come to you.
