Last night as I was getting on the bus I noticed a passenger carrying many shopping bags but it was too late to offer her my assistance. When we got to the last stop I asked her if she wanted help. She said yes. It turned out she wanted the same bus I wanted to get home, which was already at the bus stop. I told her I would run ahead and ask the driver to wait for her. There were several passengers getting off and on anyway so we both had ample time to catch the bus.
During the ride I sat next to this man. "Happy Valentines!" he said
"Huh, sorry is it?"
"It is tomorrow."
"Oh yes, it is. Thank you," I said. "Happy Valentines to you too!"
"Thank you," he smiled. "I see from your shopping you're going to cook a nice dinner."
"Oh no, those are not mine, I was just helping a passenger with her bags," I showed him a bag I was carrying with a bag of sugar. "This is my shopping."
My friend told me he was working on Valentine's Day but he would be preparing a nice dinner later. As he got off I wished him well.
At the last stop I asked the lady with the shopping bags if she wanted help. She said yes. As she only lived in the neighbourhood I offered to walk her to her house. She said some friends were meant to help her with her shopping but they hadn't turned up. At the top of her road a girl and a woman ran up to her. The woman thanked me for helping her and said she now had help. We hugged and said goodbye.
As I walked home, I thought of the man who had wished me Happy Valentines. It was then I remembered that I had wondered if I was going to receive a card from an admirer. I thought it would be fun to receive three. The Universe obviously heard me and sent me an angel man to wish me Happy Valentines. I've also received an electronic Valentine's message from a Birthday reminder company. Oh well, computers can love too. I've also received a lovely Valentine's message by email from a friend, another angel.
Earlier today I thought of this bus driver who used to drive our local bus but is now on a different route that I use when I get into town. I wondered if I was going to see him. Guess what? When I got on the bus into town, he was my bus driver. What an angel!
We are all angels meeting each other's needs.
