In the same newspaper, I read an article called "Serena: Sister's memory helped me to shock victory":
Australian Open champion Serena Williams claimed the memory of her oldest sister inspired her to success over favourite Maria Sharapova in the final. ...Williams, the first unseeded player to win the title for 29 years, added she was desperate to secure victory to honour her sister, Yetunde, who was shot dead in Compton California in September 2003. 'Every day I write notes for my match. My note for this final was just "Yetunde". That was all. That's it,' she added. 'Usually I write "look at the ball, move forward, do this, do that". I just had one word. Every changeover I looked at it and just thought about how happy she would have been, how much she always supported me. I just thought about what an amazing sister she was to me. I just said "Serena, this has to be motivating. This has to be more than enough to motivate me." MetroWhat do the two articles have in common? Both are about women reaching out in love. Melanie reached out to the Internet to help her find the man of her dreams; while Serena reached out to her sister Yetunde to help her in her tennis. Both women trusted in what they were doing.
If Melanie and Serena can achieve what they did, imagine what life would be like if you lived with the awareness that you're always being supported in all you do.
For me, Life is the infinite universe in motion. Living is about knowing that in every moment I'm being supported by the entire universe. As I walk it's not just me walking but Life, infinity, moving me. As I talk it's not just me talking but Life, infinity, talking. As I write it's not just me writing but Life, infinity, writing.
This is life as I know it.
